Glass-bodied thermal vacuum sensor for use with compatible Meradat-VIT controllers. The PMT-2 measures dry-air or nitrogen pressure from 1.3 × 10−1 to 2.7 × 10¹ Pa within an operating range extending to 1.3 × 10−2 Pa. Careful mechanical mounting is required.
Description

Meradat PMT-2 Thermal Vacuum Sensor
The PMT-2 is a glass-bodied primary thermal transducer for dry-air or nitrogen vacuum measurement. A compatible Meradat-VIT controller powers the sensing element and converts its pressure-dependent heat loss into a pressure value.
| Measurement principle | Thermal conductivity |
|---|---|
| Operating range | 1.3 × 10−2 to 2.7 × 101 Pa |
| Measurement range | 1.3 × 10−1 to 2.7 × 101 Pa |
| Permissible system error stated in source record | ±30% from 0.133 to 13.33 Pa |
| Compatible instruments | Meradat-VIT12T6, VIT16T5, VIT16T6 and VIT19IT2 |
| Connection | Glass stem / mushroom-type fitting; a suitable vacuum adapter is required |
| Connection cable | KS-TP cable, typically 2 m or 5 m; confirm supply scope |
| Calibration gas | Dry air or nitrogen |
The glass envelope must be protected from impact, vibration, bending load and cable tension. Install the sensor away from condensate, particles, oil mist and direct gas flow. Thermal response is gas-dependent, so other gases require correction or process-specific calibration.
The technical infographic, video and slide deck from the source page are intentionally omitted. Confirm the adapter, cable, controller channel, calibration and installation protection before ordering.
