Automated pumping and leak-test platform for vacuum-insulated cryogenic vessels and mobile tanks. The source concept combines a dry screw backing pump, ULVAC MBS-053 booster and CBVAC turbomolecular stage.
Description
LeakLab Cryo Vacuum and Leak-Test System
LeakLab Cryo is an engineered service or production platform for evacuating insulation spaces and supporting helium leak testing of vacuum-insulated vessels.
Source three-stage concept
- CBVAC SSH20 dry screw backing pump
- ULVAC MBS-053 mechanical booster
- CBVAC 80/63 turbomolecular high-vacuum stage
The final arrangement must be engineered from insulation-space volume, port conductance, water load, required pressure, available utilities and allowed service time. Valves and bypasses must keep every pump within its permitted inlet and foreline range.
The system scope can include moisture trapping, gauges, helium detector connection, automated sequencing, data logging and acceptance testing. Pump models may be substituted only after conductance, backing and control review.
Cryogenic vessels involve pressure, oxygen-deficiency, stored-energy and product-specific hazards. Evacuation and leak testing must be coordinated with the vessel manufacturer, applicable transport or pressure-equipment rules and a site-specific safety procedure.
