Mechanical pressure-switch families for vacuum-system sequencing, alarms and equipment interlocks. Setpoint range, wetted materials, flange, contact rating, repeatability and temperature limit depend on the exact APS, PS or VS ordering code.
Description
CBVAC APS, PS and VS Vacuum Pressure Switches
These switches provide a discrete electrical state when pressure crosses a mechanical setpoint. Typical uses include backing-vacuum permissives, valve sequencing, loss-of-vacuum alarms and process interlocks.
Selection data required
- Absolute, gauge or differential pressure reference
- Required trip point, reset point and allowable hysteresis
- Process gas and wetted-material compatibility
- Process connection and allowable proof pressure
- Contact arrangement, electrical rating and connector
- Ambient and process temperature, vibration and cycle life
The legacy source page combined APS, PS and VS values and added unsupported high-temperature and UHV variants. No single specification table is valid for all three families. Use the manufacturer datasheet for the exact ordering code and verify the trip direction by functional test after installation.
A pressure switch is suitable for control logic only within its rated category. It is not a substitute for an independent safety relief device, and a setpoint check is not automatically a legally recognized calibration.
