Assumptions and use
Use only coefficients and a validity range established for the specific reference leak. A generic temperature coefficient must not be transferred between permeation leaks and capillary leaks. This estimate does not extend calibration validity or replace uncertainty and certificate requirements.
Worked example
The default example combines 2 years of 2% annual reduction with a rise from 20 to 25 °C and a 3%/°C coefficient.
Record the units, gas, temperature, background and instrument settings with every result. Confirm the model assumptions before applying a calculated limit to a real test.
