Portable thermal-conductivity helium sniffer kit for locating leaks in pressurized pipes, vessels and utility circuits. It continuously indicates local helium concentration and is intended for qualitative or threshold-based localization rather than mass-spectrometer measurement.
Description
Heliykom Portable Helium Sniffer Kit
The Heliykom kit is used to locate escaping helium from an object pressurized with helium or a helium mixture. A compact gas analyzer samples the area around joints, welds and fittings and displays the local helium concentration continuously.
This is a thermal-conductivity concentration detector, not a helium mass-spectrometer leak detector. Sensitivity, selectivity and reported units are therefore different; do not use a concentration indication as a calibrated leak-rate value without a validated test method.
Typical kit
- Portable helium concentration detector and probe
- Battery charger and protective carrying case
- Helium regulator and pressure gauges when included in the order
- Filling-line connector and operating documentation
Typical workflow
- Clean the test surface and define the test pressure, tracer-gas concentration and rejection criterion.
- Check detector response with a suitable reference source before testing.
- Fill the object within its approved pressure limit and scan potential leak locations at a controlled distance and speed.
- Record the background, alarm threshold, dwell time and detected locations.
Confirm the exact detector model, measurable concentration range, detection threshold, hazardous-area rating, battery runtime, regulator range and supplied accessories before ordering. The equipment must not be used in an explosive atmosphere unless the delivered model is explicitly certified for that zone.
