Heated vacuum chamber for compound casting, degassing and controlled thermal processing. The source concept specifies pressure to approximately 2 mbar and heating to 120 °C with ±5 °C field uniformity.
Description
LeakLab-288 Heated Vacuum Casting and Degassing Chamber
This chamber combines vacuum and moderate heating to remove trapped gas, lower compound viscosity and improve filling of molds or assemblies.
| Source concept residual pressure | Approximately 2 mbar |
|---|---|
| Source concept maximum temperature | 120 °C |
| Source concept temperature uniformity | ±5 °C under defined empty or loaded test conditions |
| Typical equipment | Vacuum pump, gauge, heaters, controller, viewport, lighting and controlled vent |
The “288” designation and usable volume must be confirmed from the final drawing. Compound chemistry, vapor load, cure exotherm, solvent content and contamination requirements determine pump selection and safe temperature limits.
Specify load mass, shelf layout, temperature sensors, ramp profile, pressure cycle, condenser or filter, electrical supply, ventilation and acceptance tests. A viewport requires its own pressure and temperature rating and guard.
