Compact turbomolecular pump with a grease-lubricated ceramic ball-bearing rotor support. The JFB-63/81 provides 85 L/s for nitrogen and 55 L/s for helium, with LF63, CF63, KF40 and double-flow-port versions listed for different applications.
Description
CBVAC JFB-63/81 Turbomolecular Pump
The JFB-63/81 is a compact high-vacuum turbomolecular pump for analytical instruments, small chambers and leak-test equipment. Its rotor is supported by grease-lubricated ceramic ball bearings, and the integrated JFB-I drive supports remote communication.
| Pumping speed | 85 L/s for nitrogen; 55 L/s for helium |
|---|---|
| Ultimate pressure | <8 × 10−6 Pa for the LF/ISO-K-type version; down to 5 × 10−7 Pa for the CF version in the source data |
| Compression ratio | 1 × 108 for nitrogen; 1 × 106 for helium |
| Main inlet versions | LF63, CF63 or KF40; confirm exact ordering code |
| Double-flow-port version | Additional KF16 port with approximately 3.5 L/s stated in current product data |
| Recommended backing pump | 0.5–2 L/s |
| Maximum continuous foreline pressure | 650 Pa for nitrogen; 300 Pa for helium |
| Nominal rotor speed | 75,000 rpm |
| Acceleration / stopping time | ≤2.5 min / ≤3.5 min |
| Drive supply | 24 V DC ±5% |
| Controller and communications | Integrated JFB-I; RS-485 Modbus RTU |
| Cooling | Natural convection, air or water, depending on gas load and configuration |
The original source table incorrectly labeled KF16 as the main inlet; current product data shows it as the auxiliary port on the double-flow version. Confirm main flange, foreline flange, controller, cable, cooling kit, purge option and mounting orientation by ordering code.
A turbomolecular pump requires a compatible backing pump, pressure-based start logic and safe venting. Protect the rotor from shock, particles, condensation, sudden air inrush and operation above its permitted pressure.
